Hop On Over
The fourth annual festival takes place July 1-2 in Paddock Wood, United Kingdom. The event prides itself on not having sponsorship, branding or VIP perks.
A statement on Hop Farm’s website describes the festival’s philosophy:
“We are a truly unique experience with the aim of being a festival for the ticket paying festivalgoer, returning live music to its roots and back-to-basics mentality where you turn up with your ticket and enjoy the same experience as every other ticket holder.”
The lineup for Saturday, July 2 includes Patti Smith, Newton Faulkner, Brother(UK) and Mary Coughlan. The Big Tent will feature sets from Noisettes, Gang Of Four, The Bluetones and Paris Riots. The Leisure Society and Brigid Power Ryce will perform on the Bread & Roses Stage.
The previously announced Friday lineup includes Eagles, Death Cab For Cutie, Bryan Ferry, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, The Walkmen, 10cc, The Human League and Transfer.
More acts and stages will be announced.
Weekend passes are on sale for £130 ($211.46). Single-day tickets are priced at £70 ($113.86). Camping passes are also on sale.
