STS9 Back On The Road
In late January Murphy released a statement explaining that a cancerous tumor was recently diagnosed in his sinus cavity. With the exception of STS9’s appearance at the Mayan Holidaze cruise, all of the rest of the band’s scheduled performances were canceled. The shows would have taken place throughout the U.S. Feb. 4-March 11.
After posting an initial update following Murphy’s Jan. 26 surgery, STS9 released an additional statement this week saying that the bassist’s “recovery has been nothing short of amazing, inspiring and impassioned.”
The band has lined up a series of multiple night gigs in April, playing Classic Center in Athens, Ga., April 20-21 and The Pageant in St. Louis April 22-23.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 19 at 12 p.m. local time.
STS9 will also play Ultra Music Festival in Miami March 25. Tickets are on sale now.
Although the daily lineup for Bonnaroo hasn’t been announced yet, STS9 can confirm it will be at the Manchester, Tenn., festival. The event takes place June 9-12. Tickets go on sale Feb. 19 at 12 p.m. EST.
