Deftones Announce Spring Dates

Deftones have announced another trek through the U.S. as the alternative metal band tours around the globe in support of its sixth studio album.

Diamond Eyes was released in May through Warner Bros. and Reprise Records as the follow-up to 2006’s Saturday Night Wrist.

The 2011 North American dates begin April 14 at Paramount Theatre in Seattle. Dates are currently on the books through a May 13-14 two-night stand at Best Buy Theater in New York City.

Deftones will also be hitting up Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, British Columbia (April 18), Ogden Theatre in Denver (April 22), First Avenue in Minneapolis (April 28), Riviera Theatre in Chicago (April 30), Webster Theater in Hartford, Conn. (May 9) and Electric Factory in Philadelphia (May 10).

VIP packages are available to fan club members now. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Jan. 8.

Dillinger Escape Plan will join the North American tour as an opening act.

More shows will be added soon.

Before touring North America Deftones will play Australia’s Big Day Out festival in addition to shows in Japan, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
