Blues Singer Robin Rogers Dies
Blues singer Robin Rogers died of liver cancer Dec. 17 at her home in Gastonia, N.C.
Rogers, 55, has been a rising star since releasing Treat Me Right in 2008, after which she was named best female artist at the 2009 Blues Blast Awards.
Her most recent album, Back In The Fire, was released in September and debuted at No. 3 on the Nielsen SoundScan Top Blues Albums chart. It remains in the Top 10.
Rogers has also been nominated for contemporary blues female artist at the Blues Music Awards in May, a statement said.
