Yes Announces U.K. Run
Who’s in Yes these days? Original bassist Chris Squire is still in the group as is guitarist Steve Howe and drummer Alan White. There’s also a Wakeman on keyboards but his name isn’t Rick. Instead, it’s son Oliver who has been playing with the pioneer prog-rock band during the last couple of years.
Also in the band is Benoit David, the Canadian singer tapped in 2008 to fill in for a then-ailing Jon Anderson. David will appear, along with Wakeman, on the first new Yes album in 10 years, scheduled to be released on Italian-based Frontiers Records in summer 2011.
The 2011 U.K. tour begins in Cambridge at the Corn Exchange Nov. 8, plays Sheffield City Hall Nov. 9 and stops at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall Nov. 11. Also on the schedule is the Brighton Dome Nov. 15, and Bristol’s Colston Hall Nov. 16 before ending the journey in London at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo Nov. 17.
Tickets are available now via the Ticket Factory. For everything in the world of Yes, click here to visit the band’s website.
