Linkin Park’s 2011 Road Trip

The band announces its first North American tour in almost three years, promising you a show good enough to take home with you via download.

Touring in support of its recently released album, A Thousand Suns, Linkin Park just completed a sold-out run of Europe. The band plays Australia in December and launches its first North American tour since 2008 in Sunrise, Fla., at the BankAtlantic Center Jan. 20.

Traveling with Linkin Park Jan. 20-Feb. 11 will be Pendulum and Does It Offend You, Yeah? Jan. 20 – Feb. 11, playing arenas in Sunrise, Tampa, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Washington and Uncasville, Conn.

The Prodigy appears beginning Feb. 15 in Houston at the Toyota Center. Other stops with The Prodigy include Dallas, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. The last date on the routing is Feb. 26 in Denver at the Pepsi Center.

Thanking fans for the band’s “Best Live Act” honor at the 2010 MTV European Music Awards, Linkin Park is providing a download of the evening’s performance. The plan calls for a code displayed at each venue the night of the show with fans texting the code to receive the download. Plus, one dollar of every ticket sold will go to Music For Relief, the charity founded by the band to help victims of natural disasters and to create awareness of global warming solutions.
