Clearing Out The Spectrum
Comcast-Spectacor has come up with a novel way to clear out an abandoned arena.
Philadelphia’s Wachovia Spectrum is set to meet the wrecking ball to make way for the Philly Live project but, before that occurs, it’s time to raid the store. On Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the public can enter the building for $25 for “If You Can Carry It, You Can Keep It.”
Items available include folding chairs, used televisions, office furniture, couches, computer equipment and other collectibles.
Patrons are allowed to take as much as they can carry with no reentry.
Tools and handcarts are prohibited. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation. Click here for the organization’s website.
