Interpol Just Can’t Get Enough
The New York City-based band is touring in support of its self-titled fourth studio album. The record was released Sept. 7 on Matador Records.
The guys announced the new U.S. dates with the following statement on their website:
“Well, we’ve been having a ball on this US run. It’s been a pleasure each and every night. Interpol fans are top notch. The Best. And …we want to come back for more so we’ve just announced the following North American dates for January and February. Very much looking forward to visiting some new spots for the first time (you know who you are), some places we’ve recently played (can’t get enough) and those towns that we haven’t seen in some time (we’ve missed you). It will be a warm reprieve from the big, bad winter-man. And it will be here in no time at all. We can’t wait. Rock n’ Roll.”
Interpol’s new dates begin slightly north of the border with a Jan. 27 show at Orpheum in Vancouver, British Columbia. The trek concludes Feb. 19 at House Of Blues in Boston.
Additional dates include Warfield Theatre in San Francisco (Jan. 31), In The Venue in Salt Lake City (Feb. 7), Boulder Theater in Colorado (Feb. 8), Riviera Theatre in Chicago (Feb. 12), Sound Academy in Toronto (Feb. 15) and Radio City Music Hall in New York (Feb. 17).
Tonight the band plays DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., followed by gigs at Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, Pa. (Nov. 4) and United Palace in New York (Nov. 5).
The first leg of the European tour takes place Nov. 12-Dec. 7, followed by another round of dates March 3-16.
Fans can catch Interpol in Australia Dec. 30-Jan.7.
The band will open for U2 in the U.S. and Canada July 5-26.
