Juliette Lewis Victim Of Hit-And-Run
Lewis was being chauffeured home in a Lincoln Town Car following an event for her new movie “Conviction.” The accident occurred when another driver T-boned Lewis’ vehicle at an intersection in Burbank, Calif., at 10:19 p.m., according to TMZ.com.
“The sedan Juliette was traveling in was completely totaled,” Lewis’ rep Carleen Donovan said in a statement, according to People.com. “Ms. Lewis … is a bit banged up and sore but otherwise thankfully okay. She is now resting at home.”
Law enforcement found the other driver had abandoned their vehicle – a Honda – a few blocks from the scene of the accident, according to TMZ.com.
Police are investigating the incident.
Lewis released her most recent album, Terra Incognita, last fall. The video for the album’s third single and title track premiered today on AOL Music.
“I like the idea of instead of promoting sex, promoting strength and vitality,” she said about the video.
“Conviction,” starring Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell, hits movie theaters Friday. Fans can also catch Lewis in “Due Date,” which is set for release Nov. 5 and stars Robert Downey, Jr. and Zach Galifianakis.
