‘America’s Got Talent’ Live Performers Revealed
The 2010 Top 10 finalists include 12-year-old ballroom dancing partners Anna and Patryk; singing sisters Christina & Ali, black-light illusion performance troupe Fighting Gravity; 10-year-old classical singer Jackie Evancho; stunt bike rider Jeremy VanSchoonhoven; magician/illusionist Michael Grasso; singer/songwriter Michael Grimm, opera singer Prince Poppycock; dance troupe Studio One Young Beast Society; and 18-year-old pop singer
The entertainers will be joined on tour by host Jerry Springer, who hosted the 2007-08 season of the NBC reality talent show.
“I can’t wait to hit the road with such an amazing and diverse group of performers,” Springer said. “We’re going to take the best of America’s favorite TV show and put them on stage live in cities across the country. You won’t want to miss it.”
Previous “America’s Got Talent” season finalists showed off their talents at residencies at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and MGM Grand At Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn. This is the first year the show is actually going on the road in venues across the nation from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C.
The 25-city tour kicks off Oct. 1 at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, Calif., and wraps up Nov. 7 at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre in Orlando, Fla.
Additional performances include Colosseum At Caesars Palace in Las Vegas (Oct. 8), Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis (Oct. 16), Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis (Oct. 21), Beacon Theatre in New York (Oct. 27) and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta (Nov. 6).
Tickets are on sale now.
The fifth season finale of “America’s Got Talent” will be held Wednesday, Sept. 15.
Fighting Gravity, Michael Grimm, Prince Poppycock and Jackie Evancho are the final four acts competing for the grand prize of $1 million.
