Always a highlight on any summer concert season, the band’s travel plans appeared to be in jeopardy a few months ago when Gregg Allman received a liver transplant June 23. Then came word earlier this month that the group would do an East Coast tour in intimate venues, announcing a three-night Boston run – Nov. 18-20 at the Orpheum Theatre.

Now the schedule has a few more dates, including a tour opener – Upper Darby (Philadelphia) at the Tower Theatre Nov. 11. Next up is the band’s first-ever appearance at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington Nov. 12. Atlantic City follows with a show at the Trump Taj Mahal Ballroom Nov. 13. Last two newly announced stops are Albany at the Palace Theatre Nov. 15 and Mashantucket, Conn., at MGM Grand at Foxwoods Nov. 16.

Tickets go on sale in September. For more information, click here for The Allman Brothers Band website.
