Slash Says ‘We’re All Gonna Die’

The original Guns N’ Roses guitarist is touring in support of what is being hailed as his “first true solo album,” a self-titled effort that has been dominating the rock album world since its release and features an all-star cast of players including Ian Astbury, Chris Cornell, Rocco DeLuca, Fergie, Dave Grohl, Kid Rock, Lemmy Kilmister, Adam Levine, Duff McKagan, M. Shadows, Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop and Andrew Stockdale.

Also appearing on the album is singer Myles Kennedy who toured Europe with Slash and will bring his vocal talents to this year’s U.S. outing.

The tour begins in San Francisco at The Warfield Aug. 29, followed by a gig at Aspen’s Belly Up Aug. 31 and a stop in Denver for a show at the Ogden Theatre Sept. 1. Other towns include Kansas City, Milwaukee, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York, Atlanta and Seattle.

What can fans expect from a Slash tour? If setlists from the European concerts are any indication, expect a cross-section of the guitarist’s career, including GNR tunes like ”Paradise City” and “Sweet Child O’Mine,” plenty of Velvet Revolver and even a few numbers from Slash’s Snakepit days.

Slash was recently honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce which named him an official recipient of a star on Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame. A date for the unveiling ceremony has not yet been determined. For more information on everything Slash-related, click here for the guitarist’s website.
