Toby Keith Teams With Boston Pops
Toby Keith is celebrating Fourth of July in the land of baked beans and cream pie by joining conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops for its annual Fourth of July concert and fireworks show.
The show takes place on the banks of Boston’s Charles River. Fans that can’t make it to Beantown can catch the performance on CBS by watching the “Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular,” hosted by Craig Ferguson of “The Late Late Show.”
Keith’s most recent album is 2009’s American Ride. His hits include “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like That” and “Courtesy of the Red, White, & Blue.”
Don’t Cry For Me Ricky Martin
Ricky Martin has joined the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical “Evita” and will play the character Che.
The revival of “Evita,” which tells the story of Eva Peron, Argentina’s controversial first lady,” is scheduled to open in spring 2012. This marks the first new Broadway production of the musical since its 1979 New York debut.
Evita will be played by Argentine actress Elena Roger, who took on the role in London back in 2006. Michael Grandage will direct and Rob Ashford will handle choreography.
Calling All Mini Country Fans
There’s still time to get your tickets to Wisconsin’s Country Thunder – and the even better news is that children 12 and under won’t need tickets because they’ll get into the event absolutely free.
The fest announced the new children’s admission policy this week along with information about a quiet, family oriented campground. Country Thunder is offering over 150 campsites geared specifically towards families and children.
The fest takes place July 22-25 at Twin Lakes, Wis., with artists including Kenny Chesney, Sugarland, Miranda Lambert and Gloriana.
