More McCartney Dates

Former Beatle, Wings founder and all-around music legend McCartney will play Denver at the Pepsi Center July 15; Kansas City at Sprint Center July 24; Toronto at Air Canada Centre Aug. 8; Montreal at the Bell Centre Aug. 12 and Pittsburgh at the Consol Energy Arena Aug. 18.

The fanclub presale begins June 9 and the general onsale begins June 14.

In honor of McCartney and his late wife Linda’s vegetarian activism, Hard Rock International has announced it is introducing a “Meat Free Monday” menu at its Hard Rock Café in London.

As you can probably discern from the menu’s title, the venue will serve up meatless entrees on the first day of the week, including a Linda McCartney veggie burger as well as a three-course vegetarian meal. Other selections include wild mushroom soup, grilled eggplant lasagna and other dishes that didn’t once walk the earth on four legs.

The “Meat Free Monday” menu will be a feature at the London café beginning June 7 and runs throughout the year.

“I think many of us feel helpless in the face of environmental challenges, and it can be hard to know how to sort through the advice about what we can do to make a meaningful contribution to a cleaner, more sustainable, healthier world,” McCartney said.
