Live Nation Drops Service Fees For A Month
We wouldn’t blame you if you’re sweating this year’s summer season. The season itself is shaping up to be a winner in the star-power category, what with acts like Brad Paisley, Goo Goo Dolls, KISS, Rihanna and Tom Petty & Heartbreakers hitting the road. But gotta pay if you wanna play and there’s no denying the fact that recent economic woes have left more than a few of us strapped for cash.
Live Nation’s June deal is pretty much like last year’s “No Service Charge” Wednesdays except it’s for the entire month of June as the promotion company drops service fees on nearly 8 million tickets available through its website for more than 700 shows and 110 artists.
“A fan in every seat is our mission this summer,” Live Nation President / CEO Michael Rapino said. “We know that’s tough in this economy, so it’s our job to find a way to make concerts more affordable.”
So, what do you think? By dropping service fees during June at its owned and operated amphitheatres, has Live Nation convinced you to purchase more tickets? Please take the time to answer our informal little poll before continuing today’s journey on the Web.
