McCartney Back In The U.S.A.

Paul McCartney reveals a couple of dates for his upcoming tour as the former Beatle targets San Francisco and Salt Lake City for July gigs.

The two dates are part of Macca’s “Up And Coming” tour in the U.S., designating San Francisco’s AT&T Park for July 10 and Rio Tinto Stadium located just outside Salt Lake City in Sandy, Utah, July 13.

The McCartney camp is pointing out the July 10 date will be his first appearance in San Francisco since the Beatles played Candlestick Park August 29, 1966. But that doesn’t mean he’s skipped over the Bay Area during his post-Beatles career. Over the years he’s played neighboring towns, such as San Jose in 2005 and Mountain View in 2004.

The Utah gig will be McCartney’s first-ever in the Beehive State.

An AMEX presale begins May 20 at 10 a.m. local time and the general onsale begins May 24 at 10 a.m. local time. For more info, click here for McCartney’s website.
