A Decade Of Van Dyk

“10 Years of Vandit” is a massive collection from Van Dyk that documents the influential tracks released over the past decade that helped earn the label a reputation as the one to watch for the latest in trance music.

The collection will also feature a brand new PVD single created to mark the Berlin native’s milestone.

A special online event will give disciples of Van Dyk and his label a chance to select their top 10 all-time favorites from among the impressive catalog assembled by Vandit since 2000. One lucky participant will also win a specially selected (and completely unique) secret prize.

Of course, what’s an anniversary celebration without a party? In keeping with a pair of 10th anniversary events featuring key Vandit artists at Miami’s Winter Music Conference in March, PVD will play a hometown gig at Berlin’s Kulturhaus Astra on May 29 and one at London’s Brixton Academy on May 30.

Van Dyk’s Cream Ibiza gigs this summer will also be geared to tie into the celebrations, and, because there’s no such thing as too big when it comes to parties, the whole shebang will come to a close in September with a huge blowout party at Berlin’s O2 Arena.

And remember that “turn in the spotlight” thing? If you’re a DJ or aspiring dance music producer, fire up the turntables, CD players, PC, reel-to-reel or whatever you use to get the party started: You’ve got a chance to serve as the opening DJ for one of PVD’s May 29 and 30 shows.

Hopefuls need to submit a 30-minute DJ mix showing off their mad skills at mixing and spinning and cutting and all the other things people get up to in a DJ booth.

Mixes must focus on the electronic/dance genre and only one entry per DJ will be accepted.

And hurry! The deadline for submissions is Saturday, May 22. Winners will be notified by email on May 27.
