Calgary Folk Music Festival Lineup
The festival takes place July 22-25 at Prince’s Island Park in downtown Calgary, Alberta.
The Avett Brothers will kick things off Thursday, July 22, as a main stage headliner along with Natacha Atlas and Stars. The following evening the main stage will feature Swell Season and Michael Franti & Spearhead in addition to Peatbog Faeries.
On Saturday, July 23, fans will find Greg Brown on the main stage as well as The Hill Country Revue, Naomi Shelton And The Gospel Queens, The Cat Empire and Corb Lund.
On Sunday the fest will wrap up with main stage performances by Roberta Flack in addition to Konono No.1, Joe Henry and St. Vincent.
The Calgary Folk Festival’s lineup features dozens of additional performers including Karla Anderson, Annie Lou, The Cat Empire, Fribo, Ghostkeeper, United Steelworkers of Montreal, Shakura S’aida, Ohbijou, Man Man and Romantica.
Complete artists performance schedules will be available online as of early July as well as in the program book at the festival.
Early bird tickets go on sale today and can be purchased through June 21. An adult-4 day pass is available for $135 with single day tickets ranging in price from $47 to $57 per day. Single day tickets remain the same price between June 22-July 20 but the price of an adult 4-day pass will increase to $165. If you wait to buy tickets at the door, 4-day passes will no longer be available for single-day tickets will be priced between $50 and $62 a day.
Youth 4-day passes (age 13-17) and student 4-day passes (18+ high school or post secondary) are available at discounted rates. Children under 13 can get in free if accompanied by an adult. Seniors 65 and over are also admitted for free.
