Sting At The Met
Accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Sting makes his debut at New York City’s Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center July 13 & 14.
As on all dates for the symphonic run, Sting’s Met appearances will feature selections from his solo catalog as well as Police hits reinterpreted with orchestrations created especially for the tour. So far, the concept is a hit, as several nights have already sold out including opening night in Vancouver as well as stops at Denver’s Red Rocks, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Atlanta’s Chastain Park.
But not everyone gets a chance to play The Met.
“The Metropolitan Opera has such a rich cultural history in supporting and celebrating a truly diverse range of artists,” Sting said. “It is both an honor and a thrill to have the opportunity to perform at this renowned landmark.”
