Scheduled To Appear – 03/08
White confirmed to People that she has agreed to do the show yesterday evening while chillaxing at Elton John’s annual charity Oscar viewing party in Los Angeles.
It remains unclear exactly when the 88-year-old actress will appear – or if she’ll host. Producer Lorne Michaels denied speculation by Entertainment Weekly that she’ll show up on a “Women of Comedy” episode of SNL with former regulars Molly Shannon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
The former Sue Anne Nivens, Rose Nylund and backstabbing busy-body blackmailer Catherine Piper says she doesn’t get what all the fuss is about.
“I don’t know why or how, but it’s been wonderful,” White told People, referring to the groundswell of fans clamoring for the comedian to host SNL.
