Domingo To Go Under The Knife
After experiencing abdominal pain during a recent Tokyo performance, acclaimed opera tenor Placido Domingo will undergo surgery later this week.
Domingo, who along with Jose Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti made up The Three Tenors, will go under the knife in New York City, according to the singer’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer, who described the operation as “medically recommended preventive surgery.”

Seltzer also said 69-year-old Domingo will resume his touring schedule after a recuperation period that’s expected to take up to six weeks. The tenor’s next scheduled performance is March 23 in Zurich, Switzerland.
