A Monstrous Lineup For Sasquatch!

Pavement, Massive Attack, My Morning Jacket, Ween, Vampire Weekend and MGMT are just a few of the bands appearing at this year’s .

The annual Memorial Day Weekend festival, now in its ninth year, returns to the Gorge Amphitheatre located just outside Quincy, Wash. Dates are May 29-31.

Festival organizers announced the lineup at Seattle’s Crocodile Café last night. Also set to appear at this year’s Sasquatch! are Band Of Horses, The National, LCD Soundsystem, Tegan and Sara, Broken Social Scene, Passion Pit, Deadmau5, She & Him, Public Enemy, Nada Surf, The New Pornographers, The Hold Steady and The xx.

But that’s only the short list. The lineup also includes OK Go, Drive-By Truckers, Minus The Bear, Kid Cudi and Wale, to name-check a few. Organizers promise more acts will be added to the lineup in the weeks to come.

There will also be some laughs as Craig Robinson of “The Office” and Rob Riggle of “The Daily Show” head up the comedy lineup.

“It’s our goal each year to present a fresh lineup that reflects the independent spirit of the Pacific Northwest, respects the artists and audience, and celebrates the grandeur of The Gorge,” festival founder Adam Zacks said.

Zacks, who personally selects the lineup each year, founded Sasquatch! in 2002 as a festival catering to the hippest and most discerning of music fans. Previous lineups have featured R.E.M., Coldplay, Kanye West, Beastie Boys, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, and The Flaming Lips.
