Exhaustion Derails Lady Gaga

Bad news for Lady Gaga’s “little monsters” on the East Coast: Following her collapse last night prior to a show in Indiana, the singer has been advised by her physician to “take a few days off to rest.”

Gaga’s appearance at LGBT benefit “Hands Up for Marriage Equality” at Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa (Jan. 16), as well as her show at Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Conn. (Jan. 17), have been canceled. Ticketholders can obtain refunds at point of purchase and will have first access to tickets for new dates when they are scheduled. An update on “Hands Up” is expected as soon as possible.

Lady G’s Jan. 18 performance at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., has been postponed, with a makeup show to be announced shortly. Tickets for the original show will be honored for the new date.

Lady Gaga gives Oprah Winfrey a lesson on being fashion forward and fierce when she drops by Winfrey’s Chicago studio to tape an appearance.

Minutes after her set at Purdue University’s Elliot Hall of Music in West Lafayette was called off last night, the singer explained to bummed out fans via Twitter that she was forced to cancel after paramedics told her she had an irregular heartbeat brought on by “exhaustion and dehydration.”

“I am so devastated,” Gaga tweeted. “I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort.

“I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me.”
