Brown’s Latest Gig
It was the first day of his judge-ordered 180-day community labor for beating up his then-girlfriend Rihanna in February.
Brown was dressed for the occasion, wearing an orange vest, white tank top, baggy jeans and sneakers.
Brown’s schedule is flexible and he’ll be performing various kinds of manual labor. Because of his star status, Richmond police won’t be advertising his whereabouts.
“We’ll just take a look at it day by day and certainly would ask for the cooperation of the public and Chris’ fans so that he is able to satisfy the work requirements,” Richmond Police spokesman Gene Lepley said.
Celebritydom comes with a price. On top of the community service, Brown must pay for the extra guards hired to watch over him.
Along with the community service, Brown was sentenced to five years probation and a year of domestic violence counseling for pummeling Rihanna. By the court’s permission he will fulfill his labor and counseling requirements in Richmond, near his home in Montpelier.
