Jay-Z On The TV

You say you’d love to experience tonight’s Jay-Z concert at Madison Square Garden, but you couldn’t score tickets? That’s why God created television.

Tonight’s concert, a benefit for New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund, will air live and uninterrupted on music cable channel Fuse in spectacular high definition.

Today was supposed to be a multi-platform kind of day for Jay-Z. His latest album – The Blueprint 3 – was originally scheduled to be released today to coincide with the MSG show. But someone leaked the album onto the internets at the end of August, causing the release to be moved up a few days to Sept. 8.

Along with tonight’s broadcast, Fuse will air additional Jay-Z content throughout the weekend, including “The Jay-Z Chronicles” detailing the rapper’s rise to the top of the charts and “Loaded: Jay-Z,” serving up a half hour of the artist’s music videos. Fuse will also air encore showings of tonight’s concert.

Here’s tonight’s showtimes: “The Jay-Z Chronicles” at 8 p.m. “Jay-Z Live From Madison Square Garden: Answer The Call” at 9 p.m., “Jay-Z: Conversations in Hip-Hop” at 11 p.m. and “Loaded” at 11:30 p.m.

Of course, if you live in the New York City area and you still want to snag decent seats for tonight’s show, StubHub is offering tickets starting at $350 a piece.

Now, aren’t you glad the big guy upstairs created TV?
