Robin Gibb told BBC Radio he and his brother Barry “are getting back together again as we speak,’ and are prepping for some live dates.

Apparently the Gibb brother wasn’t “Jive Talking.” Appearing on the BBC Radio’s “Test Match Special” cricket program, Robin Gibb said he and brother Barry had “Got through the breakwater of emotions” that had risen since Maurice’s 2003 death from a strangulated intestine.

Maurice was Robin Gibb’s twin brother. Along with performing as one-third of the Bee Gees, Maurice Gibb was also musical director for the group during its final years.

After Maurice Gibb’s death, the remaining Gibb Brothers said they would never perform under the “Bee Gees” name again. However, last year they indicated they were open to the possibility of resurrecting the moniker that snagged 9 Grammy awards, 5 American Music Awards and several other honors including a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

No specific information, such as when, where, or, for that matter, which countries the group would perform in, was revealed during the radio interview.

But while the Bee Gees may sing again, albeit, as a twosome instead of a trio, Robin Gibb said Maurice was ”not just a brother but a comrade in arms really.”

“It’s an emotional thing when you lose someone that close, ” Gibb said.
