Live Nation’s $25 Offer
Live Nation introduced “No Service Fee Wednesday” two weeks ago, knocking off service fees from all its lawn tickets at most of the amphitheatres it owns, and claims a 500 percent spike in sales.
The sale caught the attention of the public – but some of the attention had to do with the other fees that remained on top of the ticket price. The sale was followed by a Wednesday that removed service fees from all shed tickets, not just lawn.
The offer for June 17, which runs 24 hours, is good for shows on sale including Coldplay, Brad Paisley, The Fray, O.A.R., Nickelback, No Doubt, Warped Tour and Aerosmith, among other artists.
“I read the blogs and e-mails, listening to what concert fans are saying. They’ve been really clear, they want a break on ticket prices in these tough economic times,” CEO Michael Rapino said in a statement. “We kept listening and fans asked us to take it a step further and eliminate all fees. So for this Wednesday, we’ve decided to go all in – one all-in ticket price for all lawn tickets – only $24.99 with no additional fees of any kind.”
