Pearl Jam Bassist Attacked
Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament was accosted by a pair of knife-wielding men outside an Atlanta recording studio April 27.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the attack occurred in the parking lot of Southern Tracks, where the band is working on its new album.
Authorities said Ament and another man were ambushed by three masked men waiting in the woods, who smashed the window of a rented vehicle and demanded money.
The bassist sustained a cut on his head when he tried to flee but was knocked to the ground.
The attackers got away in a black Nissan Maxima with $3,000, Ament’s passport and “$4,320 worth of goods.”
While the entire incident was recorded by surveillance cameras, no arrests have been made so far.
