Aerosmith Announces Three-Month Tour With ZZ Top
Although June 10 marks the launch in St. Louis, ZZ Top will not join the tour until June 16 in Mansfield, Mass. Other stops on the tour include June 21 just outside DC, at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Va.; Nikon @ Jones Beach in Wantaugh, N.Y. on June 26, and the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., June 28.
As the tour rolls through North America look for Aerosmith and ZZ Top playing Cincinnati on July 1; Tampa on July 11; Houston on July 17; Denver on August 1; Toronto on September 3 and Detroit on September 16. Other cities on the schedule include Ottawa, Seattle, Tulsa, Phoenix, Las Vegas, St. Paul and Cleveland.
Aerosmith’s tour announcement also mentions “support to be announced for August 28 in Chicago.”
The North American run is only the beginning for Aerosmith. The band is calling its outing “a world tour,” so get ready to rock, Planet Earth.
Currently working on a new album, Aerosmith released its own flavor of the “Guitar Hero” franchise with “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith” last year. That, along with their 2001 induction into the Rock & Roll are just two of the accolades the band has gathered during its 30-year plus existence. Other honors include four Grammys, eight American Music Awards and 12 MTV Awards.
