Les Claypool has unveiled his contribution to the fund-raising effort for the Phoenix Guitar Gala & Carnaval – a custom-made bass guitar befitting the quirky musician and his “psychedelic polka” style.

Artists, musicians and entertainment legends including George Lucas, Devo, Seth Green, Stan Lee and John Lasseter have designed and/or autographed 20 guitars to support The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, Calif.

The Phoenix Theater legions of loyal followers, Claypool has created an autographed bass engraved with instruction on how to play bass like, well, Les Claypool.

The instrument will be on display at Starstruck Gallery in downtown Petaluma until the evening of the auction.
