Polly Jean & Parish
Ms. Polly Jean Harvey and Parish have a long history. Harvey contributed to Parish’s work beginning in the late ’80s, years before she was named best new artist by Rolling Stone. In 1996, Harvey and Parish put out Dance Hall at Louse Point. Parish wrote the music, Harvey the lyrics.
A Woman A Man Walked By drops March 30, and the duo will kick off its U.K. dates April 15 in Brighton at Corn Exchange. By April 26 they’re in Edinburgh, and they travel to places like Portugal, Germany, Sweden and Norway before the last date on the books, May 17 at Le Bataclan in Paris.
If the press photo on Harvey’s Web site is any indication, Harvey has not lost her avant garde style and may make her appearances looking like a fairer version of C3PO.
