Joe Perry Undergoes Surgery

Rock legends Aerosmith have been forced to cancel their very first performance in Venezuela after guitarist Joe Perry had to have emergency surgery.

The band was set to make a Feb. 1 headlining appearance at Estadio Olimpico in Caracas as part of Solid Fest.

Konocti Field Amphitheater, Kelseyville, Calif.

Perry’s surgery was necessary because of unforeseen complications caused by a previous operation on the same knee.

The guitarist underwent total knee replacement in 2008 after putting off the procedure for two years.

Aerosmith issued an apology to fans and promised to announce another show in Venezuela.
