Brian Wilson ‘Tours’ SoCal
Wilson has been receiving accolades for his latest effort, That Lucky Old Sun, which the former Beach Boy toured last year. Now he’s set to perform the album in full, plus classic hits, at the Wiltern in Los Angeles Jan. 28 and the House of Blues in San Diego the next night.
That’s not all. Wilson is expected to be interviewed by Sex Pistol-turned-DJ Steve Jones on L.A.’s 103.1 Jan. 13. Then he’s off to the Grammy Museum to debut its “An Evening With” program Jan. 15, where he will be interviewed on stage, perform acoustically to 200 people, then autograph his new Lucky Old Sun DVD.
Then it’s off to three different Guitar Center autograph signings. On Jan. 24 he’ll be at the store in Hollywood and the one in Northridge. The next day he’s in La Mesa.
After his two performances, he’s off to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival for the world premiere of “Going Home,” documenting his return to Capitol Records and the making of the latest album. The appearance includes an audience Q&A.
With that kind of energy, could more performances be that far away?
