Page’s Manager Stokes Led Zep Fire
Peter Mensch recently told BBC’s “6Music” that Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham have been working together since their 2007 one off Zep performance at London’s O2 Arena and are on the prowl for a new vocalist.
“John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page enjoy playing with each other,” Mensch said. “Jason Bonham is a really good drummer so why not? We just need to find a singer.”
While Plant participated in the O2 show, he has publicly stated on several occasions that he has no interest in reuniting with the band for a tour, preferring instead to focus on his critically and publicly acclaimed work with Alison Krauss.
Mensch, who also manages Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica, would not comment on speculation that Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell or Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler were on the list for frontman.
