MJ Settlement A Secret
Michael Jackson has reportedly settled a breach-of-contract lawsuit out of court with Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain, who sued the reclusive singer for $7 million.
The announcement canceled Jackson’s Nov. 24 court date to testify in London’s High Court. Details of the settlement were not disclosed.

Al Khalifa claimed Jackson reneged on a contract to do an autobiography, stage play and new album after accepting millions of dollars in advances following Jackson’s child molestation trial in 2005.
The lawsuit said the sheik paid for the singer’s living and traveling expenses in Bahrain for a year, built a recording studio, found a “motivational guru” for the singer and handed over $2.2 million in legal fees and piles of spending money that Jackson agreed to pay back.
Jackson maintained the hefty sums were a gift.
