The McGarrigle Christmas Hour – featuring Rufus, sister Martha, mom Kate McGarrigle and aunt Anna McGarrigle – is set to take place Dec. 10 at Carnegie Hall.

Special guests scheduled include Emmylou Harris, Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Jimmy Fallon, Justin Bond, Sloan Wainwright and Teddy, Linda and Kami Thompson.

Rufus explained the show is designed to feel like a visit to the home of the McGarrigle/Wainwright clan, saying, “It is an off-the-cuff evening of friends and family kind of popping on and off stage as if it was our living room.”

Tickets go on sale Nov. 5 at CarnegieHall.org.

A limited number of VIP packages – which include premium seating, an opportunity to meet the performers after the show and attend an intimate taping – is available by making a donation to the Kate McGarrigle Fund.

The fund is a not-for-profit partner of the McGill University Health Centre Foundation and the Cedars Cancer Institute, supporting cancer care and research in Montreal, Canada.
