The iconic singer, songwriter, keyboardist and guitarist kicks off the run December 27 at Captial One Bank Theatre at Westbury in New York, followed by 10 shows in the northeast U.S.

Other highlights include Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut (December 30), Blender Theatre at Gramercy in New York City (January 2-3), State Theatre in Falls Church, Va. (January 6) and Whitaker Center in Harrisburgh, Pa. (January 9).

Tickets for a couple of shows are available at Ticketmaster.com, with others going on sale in the coming days.

Allman was forced to cancel the Allman Brothers Band’s annual Beacon Theatre residency in New York City earlier this year because of side effects of treatment he was receiving for Hepatitis C, but returned to the road with the band as quickly as possible.

“I feel great,” Allman said. “We did about 20 shows this summer and we were really hitting it.”

Accompanying the singer on this trek are Bruce Katz (keyboard), Jerry Jemmott (bass), Steve Potts (drums), Mark McGee (guitar), Jay Collins (sax) and Floyd Miles (percussion).
