Today was intern day at the Pollstar.com compound. While the interns slaved away on the following two items scheduled for posting sometime during the next 16 hours, we kicked back in the courtyard, knocked off a couple of kegs and cranked up the jams. But that was today only. That’s because the interns go back to Oxford tomorrow. Or is it Harvard?

Dates, Dates & More Dates …

Canadian indie band Constantines make the final update deadline this afternoon with new listings for December. Look for the boys playing T.T. Bears in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on the 5th, Heirloom Arts Theatre in Danbury, Connecticut, on the 6th, Music Hall Of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York, on the 7th and Bedrock in Baltimore, Maryland, on the 9th. Other new stops include Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Chicago.

Elton John has lined up February dates for his residency at the Colosseum At Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. New dates include February 2 – 4, 6 – 8, 10 – 11, and 13 – 15. Elton also adds a June 13 date in Bristol, England, at the Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.

Speaking of piano players, Brendan James slots a round of nightclubs and theatres for November. Details include the 8th in Augusta, Georgia, at Fort Discovery Theatre. Columbia, South Carolina, at the New Brookland Tavern is scheduled for the 12th and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at Club Cafe is slotted for the 19th.

And a couple of 2009 dates for Popa Chubby landed on our loading dock this afternoon – January 23 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, at Chan’s and March 27 in Forli, Italy, at Naima.
