Get Stoopid For Fall
Why not join one of the country’s premiere live party bands, Slightly Stoopid, for an evening of reggae/blues/psychedelic rock/hip-hop/punk?
The band will warm up for its fall outing with a September 26 appearance at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in the city’s Zilker Park.
Stoopid’s seven-week party gets rolling October 8 at Ashland Armory in Oregon and trucks on into December.
Confirmed stops so far include McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Ore. (October 10), Fargo Theatre in North Dakota (October 17), The Blue Note in Columbia, Mo. (October 21), House of Blues in Cleveland (October 25), 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (October 29-30) and the Hollywood Palladium in California (December 6).
Additional dates are expected to fill out the itinerary.
Stoopid is out in support of latest release, Slightly Not Stoned Enough to Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid, which debuted in July.
For more than a decade, Kyle McDonald, Miles Doughty and the rest of Slightly Stoopid have been quietly building a solid fan base and touring in larger venues each year.
What began as a project that leaned toward modern surf/SoCal music (a la Jack Johnson and Sublime) has become a panoramic repertoire of jam music, reggae, world and a bunch of other genres that don’t harsh the mellow.
