Vocal Injury Sidelines Country Singer
Jason Boland, frontman for country quintet Jason Boland & The Stragglers, has been ordered to take time off from touring because of a ruptured vocal chord.
The singer was referred to a specialist in Nashville after consulting with his personal physician last week.
While the injury means several upcoming dates must be postponed, Boland is expected to recover in time to resume touring in August.
Comal County Blue, due August 26, is the band’s fifth studio album and the first on Boland’s Proud Souls Entertainment label.
