Dates, Dates & More Dates …

Josephine Collective hits the clubs this month, playing states like Texas, North Carolina, Illinois, South Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri, Michigan and Maryland. Specifics include July 18 in Louisville, KY, at Uncle Pleasant’s; July 26 in Chicago at Reggie’s Live, July 27 in Lansing, MI, at Mac’s and July 31 in Baltimore at Ottobar.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo adds a few dates for both this year and next. Actually, only one new date for 2008 and that’s October 28 in Innsbruck, Austria, at Treibhaus. The rest of the update consists of 2009 dates in the U.S. and includes Burlington, VT, on January 30; Utica, NY, on February 4; Los Angeles on March 19 and Northridge, CA, on March 20.

Jazz saxophonist Joe Lovano updates today with a few dates for the South Pacific. On October 13 you’ll find him in Singapore playing at The Esplanade. Then it’s off to New Zealand for an October 24 gig in Auckland at Sky City Auckland; October 25 in Wellington at Wellington Town Hall and October 26 in Christchurch at James Hay Theatre.

And the band known as Mae makes the final deadline with a few new dates – August 1 in Upper Montclair, NJ; August 10 in Plano, TX; August 14 in Gainesville, FL; September 20 in Orono, ME, and October 11 in Ames, IA.

During the day we also updated the schedules for Toadies, Federico Aubele, Donna Jean & The Tricksters, Dubconscious, Gnarls Barkley, Ani DiFranco, Dave Mason, Donna The Buffalo, 38 Special, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Tony Furtado, Umphrey’s McGee, Amy Grant, Bill Engvall, Keith Anderson, Jay Brannan, Engelbert Humperdinck, Charley Pride, Dear and the Headlights, plus all the bands that make the world a better place, as well as the two or three bands responsible for all our troubles.
