Innovative guitarist Charlie Hunter will be playing a residency of sorts in Philadelphia and New York during August, alternating between NYC’s DROM and Philly’s World Café Live. New DROM stops for Mr. Hunter include August 6, 13, 20 & 27 while World Café Live gets him for August 2, 8 & 15.
Valencia will spend some serious time on the road during August and September. New dates for the band include August 27 in Baltimore, August 29 in Raleigh (North Carolina), September 5 in Nashville and September 17 in Toronto. Other cities on the tour include Raleigh (North Carolina), Pensacola (Florida), Akron (Ohio) and Providence (Rhode Island).
The itinerary for Doug MacLeod bulks up today with new entries for both North America and Europe. Newly posted dates include Temecula, CA, on August 16; Rutland, VT, on October 10, Torino, Italy, on October 31 and Bonn, Germany, on November 23. Mr. MacLeod also adds a 2009 gig – Crockett, Texas, for February 28.
And Great Big Sea updates this afternoon with several new listings for September, October and November. New ones include Ann Arbor, MI (September 10), Albany, NY (September 20), Seattle, WA (October 1), Santa Barbara, CA (October 4) and Portland, ME (November 1).
