Anything But Black & White
Named “Austin’s Best New Local Band 2008,” the group is a purveyor of what the Austin Chronicle calls “angular post-punk guitar carefully structured over jittery synths and polyrhythmic beats,”
The Black & White Years recorded its self-titled debut with producer Jerry Harrison, known for his guitar and keyboard work with Talking Heads and Modern Lovers.
The band’s fan base has been steadily growing across the country with a college radio breakout single, “Power to Change.” More tunes are available on the bands’s MySpace page.
The mini-tour launches June 14th at The Parish in Austin, then plays a rescheduled Northeast run beginning in Boston June 18th at the Middle East Club before hitting Albany, N.Y.; New York City and Asbury Park, N.J.
The Black & White Years return to Texas June 27th for gigs in Denton, Dallas, Austin and Fort Worth before its appearance at the Austin City Limits Festival September 27th.
