Music Builds Tour Boasts Four Headliners
The late summer/early fall jaunt kicks off August 21 at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit will hit amphitheatres and selected arenas in 23 markets, before wrapping October 12 at Pepsi Center in Denver.
Other destinations on the schedule include Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago (August 23), Blossom Music Center in Cleveland (September 11), Nissan Pavilion in Washington, D.C. (September 14), Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta (September 20), Cricket Wireless Amphiteatre in San Diego (September 27), Ford Center in Oklahoma City (October 2), Superpages.com Center in Dallas (October 5) and Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo. (October 11).
Additional performers for a second stage will be announced in the coming weeks.
Presale tickets go on sale beginning May 9 through each band’s fan club at ThirdDayWired.com, Switchfoot.MusicToday.com, RobertRandolphTickets.MusicToday.com and JarsOfClay.Tickets.MusicToday.com.
Regular presale begins May 14, with general onsale starting May 16 at LiveNation.com.
A portion of the proceeds raised through various means during the tour, including from $1 from each ticket, ticket auctions, special merch items and event packages, will benefit Habitat for Humanity affiliates in tour cities.
The bands also plan to pick up hammers and lend a hand at various Habitat for Humanity building sites along the tour and to invite some current and future homeowners to attend shows as their guests.
