The Closing Bell
Overnight Sensation …
There is a nasty bug going around the Pollstar.com campus. It’s one of those contagious flu-like maladies and the symptoms include sneezing, belching, vomiting, wheezing, coughing and listening to Barry White albums at 78 rpm. Our entire overnight crew has come down with this dastardly affliction, which means they won’t be providing us with their splendid items tonight and early tomorrow morning. We would like to apologize in advance for this unfortunate development, and we promise we’ll hire healthier people in the future.

Dates, Dates & More Dates …
You probably caught the news earlier this week about Dolly Parton having to postpone some dates. Well, guess what? That’s right! The rescheduled dates are now posted and you can readjust those travel plans. The latest listing shows Dolly playing Uncasville, CT, on April 25, Fairfax, VA, on April 28, Atlanta, GA, on April 29, New York, NY, on May 1, Atlantic City, NJ, on May 3, Boston on May 5, Minneapolis on May 7, Chicago on May 8 & 9 and Grand Prairie, TX, on May 11.
We just posted several new April dates for Cat Power. New shows include Seattle on April 11, San Francisco on April 15 and Dallas on April 19.
And we have a very extensive March and April run of new dates for Luciano. Cities include San Juan Capistrano, CA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Aspen, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Austin, TX, Ann Arbor, MI, and Baltimore, MD.
During the day we also updated the schedules for The Police, Collective Soul, Teitur, Hoots & Hellmouth, Glenn Tilbrook, Iron Maiden, My Chemical Romance, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Little Big Town, Merle Haggard, Metallica, Kansas, John Anderson, Kottonmouth Kings, Slightly Stoopid, Y & T, Roy Rogers & The Delta Rhythm Kings, Lucero, Brother Ali, Eddie Money, Elton John, Thrift Store Cowboys, Murder By Death, The Queers, The Fall Of Troy, Notorious, HIM, plus more artists and bands than even Jann Wenner knows about. But that shouldn’t surprise anyone.
And that wraps up the work flow on this St. Valentine’s Day. Thank you for spending your quality time with us and we hope we can make tomorrow even more exciting. Or at least give you something to look at when your boss thinks you’re working. Good night, and may the good music be yours.
