Triumph Reunion Tops Sweden Rock Lineup

The four-day celebration of all things rock takes place June 4-7 near Sölvesborg, Sweden.

Sweden Rock’s Ingolf Persson other festival organizers have waited a long time to get Triumph on the roster.
“We have had Triumph in mind for many years and hoped that they would play together again one day,” Persson said. “When we saw Triumph was inducted to the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame, then read some statements from the members that ‘maybe one day we will do something together again,’ we jumped in with an immediate offer.”
Rik Emmet, Mike Levine and Gil Moore formed Triumph in 1975 and through non-stop touring in Canada and the U.S., coupled with the success of albums like Rock & Roll Machine and Just A Game, amassed a large and loyal fan base by the late ’70s.
In the ’80s the band built on that success with a string of gold and platinum albums, including Progressions of Power, Allied Forces, Never Surrender and Thunder Seven, and classic singles like “Fight the Good Fight,” “Magic Power” and “Lay It On The Line.”
