The J.A.M. Is Jumpin’
Snoop Dogg, Marley Marl, Talib Kweli, Q-Tip and DMC are some of the artists who’ve answered the call for the inaugural J.A.M. Awards & Concert .
The November 29th event will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City and hosted by DMC and Terri Corley-Mizell, wife of late hip-hop pioneer Jam Master Jay.
Rounding out the roster are Raekwon, Everlast featuring DJ Muggs, Mobb Deep, De La Soul, Kid Capri and Mister Sinister.
The show is designed to demonstrate the positive aspects of rap by promoting the late Jay’s vision of Justice, Arts & Music (J.A.M.).
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Jam Master Jay Foundation for Music, an organization created by Corley-Mizell and Jay’s friends to support music and art education in rural and urban schools.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
