Bears On Ice
The band will warm up for the tour with a week of publicity appearances for the new album, including a laser light show at Seattle’s Pacific Science Center set to the tunes from the disc, and a performance September 2 at the Download Festival in Chicago.
The trek kicks off in earnest September 22 at KNDD’s Endfest at Qwest Field in Seattle and runs through the middle of November. Other stops on the schedule include St. Andrews Hall in Detroit (September 27), the Opera House in Toronto (October 1), Warsaw in Brooklyn, N.Y. (October 5), the Black Cat in Washington, D.C. (October 10), Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., (October 15), Emo’s in Austin (October 19), Metro/Smartbar in Chicago (October 26), Avalon in Los Angeles (November 3) and Showbox at The Market in Seattle (November 10).
Opening duties for the tour will be shared by Subtle, Ela, Helio Sequence, Tiny Vipers and Grand Archives.

Ice, which hits the streets August 28, is the band’s third full length release. The album was co-produced by the band and longtime collaborator/former member Matt Bayles with additional production help from Chris Common.
