The shows kick off August 15 at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Other stops include the House of Blues in Chicago (August 16) and The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles (August 17).

The most exclusive date in the series is August 18 at San Francisco’s Hyde Street Studio, where 40 contest winners will witness Satriani playing the album at the very studio where it was recorded.

Alien, Satriani’s second full-length release, will be re-released August 7 in a special two-disc set. The package contains the newly remastered album and a previously unreleased live show filmed at the 1988 Montreux Jazz Festival, as well as new liner notes and deluxe packaging featuring photos, notes and other memorabilia from the guitarist’s archive.
