Blonde Redhead has announced its full spring itinerary: four weeks of North American tour dates coinciding with a new release and a slot at “Coachella” .
The group’s sixth album, 23, is due out on 4AD in April, the same month the band will hit the road. The tour launches April 13 at the Magic Stick in Detroit.
The trio will head west, playing two shows at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco April 23-24, then work its way down to Indio, Calif., for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival April 28.
They’ll swing through the South and up the East Coast to wrap in Montreal May 12.
Blonde Redhead hasn’t toured since early 2005, when it opened a string of dates for Interpol.
